Fundmetric Fair Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Fair Use Policy ("Policy") ensures that Fundmetric’s technology, services, and support infrastructure are used responsibly, equitably, and sustainably. It promotes a high-quality experience for all clients by protecting system resources while maintaining flexibility for innovation and growth.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all users of Fundmetric’s services, including:

  • Platform features and dashboards.
  • AI/ML tools, scores, and recommendations.
  • APIs, data pipelines, and integrations.
  • Customer support and data science services.

It applies to any institution or individual explicitly named in an active Fundmetric agreement.

3. Acceptable Use

Clients may:

  • Use Fundmetric’s platform and services without artificial restrictions on usage volume, as long as such use does not negatively impact service for other clients.
  • Submit unlimited support and data science requests, which are triaged and fulfilled based on team capacity and alignment with shared goals.
  • Generate and access AI-powered recommendations, scores, and analytics as frequently as needed.
  • Build internal models or tools that complement Fundmetric’s services, so long as Fundmetric is used only by the parties identified in the service contract.

4. Unacceptable Use

Clients may not:

  • Share access or provide Fundmetric services to individuals or organizations not listed in the contractual agreement.
  • Misuse AI models or recommendations in a way that misrepresents accuracy or intent.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or expose proprietary model logic or system infrastructure.
  • Engage in sustained automated activity (e.g. batch pulls, aggressive polling) that degrades system performance for others.
  • Use Fundmetric in violation of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

5. Generous Rate Limit Policy

Fundmetric operates on a "Fair Generosity" model, similar to unlimited mobile phone plans. This means:

  • Generous default limits are provisioned (e.g., thousands of API calls, large data sets, frequent score generation) to support high-performing fundraising teams.
  • No hard limits are applied under normal use conditions. Clients may operate freely within these generous thresholds.
  • Temporary rate limiting or throttling may be enforced only if usage patterns begin to compromise performance or availability for other users.

6. Data Science & AI Services

Fundmetric provides unlimited access to its data science expertise and proprietary AI tools.

  • Clients may request as many analytical or modeling tasks as desired.
  • Requests are processed in a prioritized queue based on urgency, complexity, and mutual strategic value.
  • There are no limits to how frequently predictive scores are refreshed or AI-based insights are generated.

7. Customer Support

Access & Responsiveness:

  • Clients have full access to Fundmetric support during business hours.
  • All support requests are triaged for resolution efficiency.
  • Clients with repeated questions may be directed to documentation or offered training sessions.

Support Fairness:

  • Fundmetric will never limit support access arbitrarily.
  • In rare cases of excessive use that affects equitable service delivery, clients may be asked to coordinate a more structured support relationship (e.g., dedicated success manager or office hours).

8. Enforcement & Protection

Fundmetric reserves the right to:

  • Monitor system-level usage to detect abuse or risk to infrastructure.
  • Notify clients if usage patterns exceed thresholds that threaten platform stability.
  • Apply temporary throttles or access constraints only when necessary for system integrity.
  • Enforce contractual access limits to ensure only authorized parties use the services.

9. Policy Updates

Fundmetric may revise this policy to reflect evolving usage patterns, service enhancements, or compliance requirements. Clients will be notified of material changes in advance.
